Dr Pete Reeves who participated on the 2007 Morocco Mountain Medicine Expedition had this to say about his experience!

The course was fantastic & just sorry to be back down to earth with a bang!

Pre-expedition joining notes very useful - all key details included & refreshingly no big manual etc to read beforehand. Treated like adults & this was appreciated.

Lecturers/instructors - a fantastic range of skills & interests, confident & approachable instructors, having dinner together & being able to engage on a personal level highlighted that

Content - covered extreme condition medicine, pre-hospital conditions & how to cope & manage with c-spine injuries, splinting, GPS/radio use/logistics - all have made me feel more confident in my ability to manage such a situation.

Materials/manual -   succinct and a good guide to take away, not too much detail, key points covered & will be useful to take on futrure trips + help in their planning - maybe when the OUP wilderness book is published one of those could be a takeaway manual (signed copies of course..)

Running & admin - smooth, worked on time, within the TIA principle which I love.

Venues - could not pick a better venue than the Kasbah - luxurious by standards and this was a real highlight, location & facility-wise - brilliant. Refuge has been improved since I was there last some 7-8yrs ago & communal rooms very improtant - Hotel Foucauld equally - good hotel, good location & that's all that's needed (it had hot showers..)

Suggestions - not really sure I would change anything - the evening lectures were a real treat - Tim's photography was outstanding & both yours Baz and Rob's presentation, as well as Jon's synopsis of his career to date & Polly's talk about getting involved & opportunities with organisations ike Fulcrum gave us a fascinating insight into expeditioning, don't cut those back - maybe it's testament to the quality & breadth of the faculty, but they were very memorable..

Once again, thanks for such a great trip & unique experience, a couple of years more experience and i will be applying to Fulcrum & other organisations if appropriate, has made me keen to stay involved.
